Before going on stage it also helped me breathe and drink some sips of water to try to be in peace within myself.

I totally recognize myself in this. When I was a little kid I was very shy to go on stage with my violin, but somehow I managed to get on stage each time. It was my teacher who helped me all the time.

What helped me to get on stage was just go on stage and watch the audience before you bend and after as well. Look and laugh and scan the audience. Then sit behind your instrument and just wait a bit before you start your first notes. Take a deep breath and start playing. Take it easy and when I was on stage I enjoyed everything and I was gone into the music. I was flying.
