If you and he did not establish a household in the beginning, and relied on the adage that you both are in charge, then every decision is a complicated dance that ends with one person not getting what they want, every single time. Eventually those arguments, discussions, mini battles wear away your reason to be there, and you stop trying to win. You give up. When you give up, the energy leaves the marriage and it becomes a husk. You don’t want to fight, engage, or argue, anymore.
